 Civil Lab Details

1. Geotechnical Lab
Geotechnical investigations are performed by geotechnical engineers or engineering geologists to obtain information on the physical properties of soil and rock around a site to design earthworks and foundations for proposed structures and for repair of distress to earthworks and structures caused by subsurface conditions

2. Survey Lab
Surveying is the process by which a surveyor measures certain dimensions that generally occur on the surface of the Earth. Surveying equipment, ambulance such as levels and theodolites, pilule are used for accurate measurement of angular deviation, horizontal, vertical and slope distances. With computerisation, electronic distance measurement (EDM), total stations, GPS surveying and laser scanning have supplemented (and to a large extent supplanted) the traditional optical instruments

3. Geoinformatics lab
Geoinformatics has been described as "the science and technology dealing with the structure and character of spatial information, its capture, its classification and qualification, its storage, processing, portrayal and dissemination, including the infrastructure necessary to secure optimal use of this information"[1] or "the art, science or technology dealing with the acquisition, storage, processing production, presentation and dissemination of geoinformation".

4.Transportation Lab
Transportation Lab in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering encompasses teaching and research of transportation system planning, design and operations. The Transportation Lab provides necessary equipment and space for traffic control and analysis, system planning, model development and testing, intelligent transportation system evaluation, highway safety assessment and crash data analysis

5. Structure Lab
Structural analysis laboratory is a research center for computational and theoretical research on the problems that arise and are of interest in the civil Engineering discipline.
