The AICTE sponsored Staff Development Programme was held at the HRCT Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad with effect from July 02 to July 15, 2011, which was attended by over 80 teacher participants from a number of Engineering and Technical Institutions of the Country. The main focus in the Staff Development Programme was on 'Functional Communication Skills for Engineering Faculty. The Programme Director was Professor S.D. Sharma. A number of experts from different Universities/Institutions were invited to deliver lectures on umpteen aspects of communications skills. The Programme was inaugurated on July 02, 2011 by Prof. S.K. Kak, Vice-Chancellor, Mahamaya Technical University, Noida, who exhorted the participants to develop communication skills for effective use in the class for the benefit of the students.


National Seminar
The department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, organized a National Seminar on "Emerging Trends in Corporate Communication" on March 30, 2011 sponsored by AICTE, in the Seminar Hall of HRGI.
The Seminar was inaugurated by Prof. S.K. Kak, Vice Chancellor, Mahamaya Technical University, Noida. In his inaugural address he explained the importance of communication skills with different examples and their role in the corporate world. The Guest of Honour Prof. Arun Kumar, Head department of English, CCS University, Meerut, threw light on the emerging trends in corporate communication and use of corporate language in different fields by giving different examples.
