Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Centre @HRIT for livable planet Earth & sustainable development was formed as a tribute to Dr. Kalam and to contribute to the vision and his great works. The Kalam Centre @HRIT is working very actively with Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University and various organizations including Tears of the Earth Org. and has conducted several campaigns and programs including:
- Lahudaan (Blood Donation Camp)
- Right to water
- What can we give campaign
- Awareness campaigns
- School Lecture Series, etc.
The Centre has different Initiatives to innovate more:
- Kalam’s Cultural Society
- The Running Ventures
- Management and Decoration Team
- Innovation Team
- Incubation for Startups
With all these, the students and members of Kalam Centre @HRIT are working continuously on various Projects and Start-ups including startup of vermi-compositing, GSM Remote Device, etc.
